I'd a left it.

My old 2003 Ram has a twig lodged in the driver side rear shock mount that's been riding along for over 90,000 miles.

not uncommon to pick up shells and casing if you drive in wooded area's or frequent gun clubs. My toyo's had a habit of picking up 22 casings LOL

Was it a bullet or a casing?

How thorough are border sniffers at checking cars for any evidence of ammunition? What if a casing or even a complete cartridge from a balacera just south of the border gets picked up by your wheels and tossed into your shields? How will you explain that one?

I've heard that even an empty casing lying somewhere will get you in trouble.

When I turn corners, I hear at least a couple 30-06 shells rolling in the back.

When my dad bought his used 2000 f-250 there was a Russian 7.62-54 round under the floor mat. Anything is possible.

I found a 9 Luger round under my carpet a couple weeks ago. It made me want to buy a gun that fits it just to shoot it.

Wow!
A JEEP that produces ammo!
I guess I missed that option on my build-sheet.
If I could get my JEEP to crap-out 10mm rounds, it'd save me a fortune.
Hahahahaha

Soon Jeeps will come standard with bullet dispensers on the Dash. Put your money in and it coughs out a bullet, a 00.JEEP Size.

A bullet is a round piece of lead or copper jacketed piece of lead that is fired from a gun.

A case is normally brass or nickel plated brass that holds the bullet and components to make a cartridge. The case is normally stamped with caliber and manufacturer.

Sounds like you found a case. Not uncommon at all.

Thanks Nick. In our family we have always made certain we descriped what we had found, especiall as a kid. I grew up using guns and was taught to respect them as well. After a day of Target shooting even when I was too young yet to shoot, my Dad would always stress the need to pick up all our Shell Casings and that was my Job until I was about six. Then I got lessons I how to use the buisness end. Early age learned that the Bullet was the projetile that came out the muzzle and the shell was what you disharged from the gun afterward.

I see a lot of 9x19, 9 parabellum. I don't know anyone that shoots Luger rounds. Maybe I should change my statement to NOONE around here shoots Luger.

9x17 = 380
9x18 = Makarov
9x19 = Parabellum(Luger)
