I hate broken bolts

You would think that installing a bolt on swing out tire carrier and new rear bumper on a reasonably modern vehicle would be a simple exercise. Nope. I couldn't have messed it up more if I had tried. Two bolts broke off flush with the rear frame. Had to cut the bolts that hold the factory receiver hitch off the rear frame cross member thing. It was either that or drop the fuel tank. I tried to drill out the bolts I broke, one I managed to get all the way though (and a 5 gallon bucket of rust and dirt poured out) and the other one I have to drop the exhaust to get too. I think I'll just grind them flush and weld the new rear bumper tabs on.......its a bumper. It should have been easier than this.....

Whole reason I sold my '53 and bought a 2000..... Less fab work and more bolt on products.....so much for that theory.
