I have some snorkel questions

Ok here it goes, I have some questions on a snorkel.
1- do snorkels give u extra mpg?
2- do they make noise when u get up to speed ( like a whistling) ?
3- does anyone have any complaints about them ?
Thanks

No you won't get better mpgs...if anything, possibly quarter mile per gallon more. No they don't make noise because you can't hear it over the normal win noise, and no I haven't hear or read any complaints about them from people that need them.

Whywhy do you want or need one??

I would think you could find something more useful that's just as expensive, something you really NEED?

Its interesting how even among the jeep community different people have different tastes Personally I think snorkels look kind of corny. I realize that for some people they are very functional, but for 95% of the people that have them, they are never going to be submerging their jeep even close to that deep.

Go for something that looks cool AND has some function.. Like a cool front and/or rear bumper? or a winch? Theres so many things to choose from

Also, are snorkels really that expensive? I would have figured they would be fairly cheap... they seem like there wouldn't be that much to them.

I call a spammer. Choosing edumicaton over jeep parts PSHH.
Plus $1000 isn't gonna get you very far towards a college education.

You can learn without spending thousands on a stupid piece of paper...I have two technical certifications that cost me a fraction of the price and I'm ALWAYS reading and learning new things. I'm willing to bet I've got a lot more knowledge in a much broader range than the majority of college grads. I certainly agree with the statement, "never stop learning"...but IMO, depending on the field you want to enter, college could be a HUGE waste of money that could have gone toward something else...like a house.

I believe the snorkel questions have been answered...why not ask for something that will benefit you more. If you're going to do serious off-roading...ask for a locker or something. Or if you do a lot of snow driving, limited slip differentials (lockers + snow = bad on-road driving).

OR...don't take advantage of your rich grandpa and prove to him you're responsible so when you actually really need money, he'll feel more obligated to help you out. Ask him for something you NEED... a gift card to your favorite clothing store, pay off a credit card if you have any, etc or ask him for something small and inexpensive. Your family members will respect you more for it as you grow older.

Spammer eh? 1000 dollars can be put to good use. The original poster posted questions that someone who is using a snorkel has no care for.

If you're driving a jeep... You're not going to get good gas mileage.

Why buy something just to have it there?

Chill out, I was kidding. But seriously education as a gift? Come on, gifts are for enjoyment. Idk about you but sitting in a classroom isn't on my list of things that I enjoy. And $1000 might get you a few classes at the community college for a agribusiness degree.

And I'll be running my own business at 20 in a few years that I've been working at since I was 12 and I won't have any debt to boot
