I need a winch

I have a dilima - I want a winch - I don't use one very much, but just in case - I have the opportunity to buy a used mile marker 9500se for 150 or I have looked at the smitty built for 299. does anyone have any personel experience with the smitty built - or with the mile marker. The used one seems in good condition and seems to pull ok - would appreciate any feedback

heard good things about both actually. both are at a good price. personally I would get a new one just cause you don't know how aboused a used one is. I have a warn on my rig so I really cant vouch for either first hand but have heard alot of good things about both, mostly the milemarker.

I'd go with Milemarker over $hitty Built any day.

i´ve a 250$ 12000 lbs china winch.
we compared it with a friends milemarker SE9500.
it was as fast as the milemarker and the handling was the same. the overheat protection didn´t turn on in both winches after 10 times winching in 30 minutes. my winch was only a bit louder.
another friends warn M8274 was about 1/3 faster tah the others.
but if i look at the different prices a milemarker or a china winch like the smittybuild is enough for me.
