I need help wrangler down D:

Just for starters I am good with mechanical things but i am an idiot with engines so i need help. My Wrangler can't accelerate i stopped looked under the hood and there was arching from the top of the engine to the tube after the air filter and before it splits and when it is idling it archs with each fire and has wicked bad vibes. please help i don't feel like paying a mechanic 400 dollars if its something i can fix.

You have an '03 so it has coil packs... check and make sure that the connection between the coil packs and the spark plugs are nice and tight.

you might have to take that air box hose off and check that coil and see if its cracked or something. That would be my only other guess.

lol - the air box should be easy. Open it and take the filter out, should be 3 or 4 small bolts that hold it down.

I took off the air box and ran it without the tube and it ran fine so i knew it was the sparking causing all the problems I cleaned it and put it back on and it still sparked so i just bought a new one 80 bucks and it was fixed in an hour it feels good to actually accomplish something. I wish every engine problem lit up in the dark with ever fire. lol thank you
