I just put new speakers in my 1998 TJ and the sound is still bad,
So I want to put in a new radio with CD player,
BUT how do you get the old radio out ???
I took it to the Chrysler dealer here and Belief it or not They Don’t Know,
I’m hoping one of you Guy or Gals can give me some advice.
Thanks.

They usually have install directions on their website for any radio/CD player you'd like. The first part of the instructions should show and explain how to remove stock stereo. If all else fails, call crutchfield and ask a tech.
I fitted a new Sony head unit to mine. Not too difficult, you just need to buy a fascia plate and wiring loom. I replaced the aerial cable too because the manual said I needed an adapter but if you trace the aerial cable back to the aerial you can just swap the whole cable, as the original is pretty short and it disconnected when I fitted the new head unit.
Thanks Guys I put the new radio in yesterday, I went and got one at wal mart about 9 AM and had it in about 6 PM,
the antenna cable was one inch short so I had to go back to town and try to find one, and the only one in town was 12 foot long for 6 bucks so I got it, I also rewired the speaker wires because I could not figureout what old wires were the ones I needed to use even with my meter,
I also had a lot of Dust to clean out,
But it is all done and sounds Good, Thanks.
