I want to upgrade....

from my 97 Sport /4.0 /manual with 150K miles on it to a 2004-2005 TJ with around 20-30K miles.

My question is what do you recommend I get, a Sahara, a Rubicon, a sport and why? I plan on wheeling it so I would think a Rubicon with an auto??

Any input would be appreciated!!

1997 Wrangler Sport
Warn Front & Rear Bumpers
2" BB
Custom Throttle-Body
JBA Header

33's and 4" lift coming soon!

I have an 04 Rubicon with the 5 speed and love it. I dont do any major rock climbing so the stick shift works great for me. The stick shift works great for me cause I live in the mountains and autos are not great on some roads here.

Mine is for sale if you are interested (pm me if you are). nothing wrong with it just need a 4 door for the baby on the way.

I would use the money you are going to spend to buy the Rubicon and upgrade the 97 build it as you want it.

Your sig states that a 4" lift is coming soon. I agree with BILLG and just build your current Jeep the way you want it. Plan the build all the way through, do it right the first time and you'll be one happy camper without wasting a bunch of dough.
99 SE with less than 43K on the clock and a few mods......
