Question ideas of where to put doors on a trip

I am going to be driving cross country and i need ideas what to do with the doors. i thought their might be something available online that would allow me to place the doors on the spare tire but found nothing. when i take the trip i want to drive without doors at some points. since i am not staying at hotels i cant just leave them in a hotel room. i need to take them with me in case it rained or lock my stuff up at night. i cant just throw them in the back for a few reasons. first its rhino lined and that will tear it up. second wouldn't be secured and when driving just on the highway not even wheeling the doors could bounce around.

if you know of any products or have any ideas please let me know

Ps i have a 97 TJ full doors

You could get a hitch mounted cargo carrier and add vertical steel bars (that would simulate something like the link above): Hidden Hitch 1040100 - ROLA® Cargo Carrier for 2" Receiver Hitches - Quadratec,
or (and this would be my personal recommendation) get a set of full soft doors, then you can easily store them in the "trunk" area of the jeep (they don't stick up too much, they are what I have).

I put my full doors in the back of my yj all the time and they never seem to bounce around even when im wheeling, the only thing I've seen as for a place to put them is a carrier for the hitch. I would be more worried about them on a hitch then in the back of the jeep. just my .02

Take a look on eBay. There was a guy selling door holders that mounted to the sport bar behind the front seats about where the soft top bow brackets are. They held the doors out to the sides of the Jeep about where the rear side windows are.

I've been on eBay trying to find it again. No luck. I don't remember what it was listed under. I was doing a search some time back for a set of full soft doors & came across these brackets. I think they wanted over $300 for them.

If your jeep has a tow package , you can fabricate something to come up 90 degree little bit further from the spare tire and then weld same type hinges as you have on body so bolts on the doors can slide in. We can fab something like that in my machine shop if you would be interested. I can even send you some 3d models to have better understanding.
