identification help.

So I need help identifying what this is and what itís for. My guess is that itís a power source of some variety but I canít be sure and I canít search on this because I donít know what itís called. Itís right next to the fuse box under the hood. When I got my jeep there was a clipped red wire coming out of this area.

also....

Iím in the process of wiring my hella 500 lights. I did this a long time ago on my truck and It mostly makes sense but I kinda forgot how to set up the 3 wires for the switch. Iím setting up the lights so that they operate independently from anything else. Can I run the switch power directly to the battery? Before you chew me out on this Iíve searched on this and I found plenty of info but NOT specific info on how to power the switch( Iím trying to avoid tapping into high beams) Thanks!

switch:
-ground wire
-relay wire
-switch power-directly to battery???

Pretty sure thats just where your power runs in/out of the fuse box and then to all the accessories and stuff.

for the lights you just run to a power wire in your jeep. there are several.
