What would you all do? I'd get a new set of wheels if I had some cash lying around.

If you had that last one, you would have the rest in no time.

If cost was not a consideration, then you could have me build two of them so I could have one. The only changes I would make would be an LS swap, a tad more wheelbase, and sticky 37's or 40's.

It probably works fine for what they do out there in JV. If there's one thing Blaine has taught me, it's to build for where you wheel and disregard the naysayers.....the cage discussion will certainly bring out the opinions. Full cages are great and are needed in many scenarios, but slow rock crawling generally isn't one of them. I've added to my stock cage for extra support where I'd like it and to reduce the windshield frame's dependency on the overall structure and that's probably as much as it will see.

If money was no option, I'd build a HP 609 front and Currie 60 rear axle. Otherwise, I'm pretty darn happy with my rig.

Yes and no. It has a bolt together cage in those pics because I didn't have time before he needed the rig to build a cage for him. It also doesn't have the aluminum bikini top shown that I built.

Since his plan was to wheel the whole US with it which he did starting with JV, he took it back to WA and had a full cage put in it that came out very nice. He also did a bit of paint work because as you can see in the pics, it isn't quite finished.

Here's a little later shot of Jon's Jeep on the cover of Crawl Magazine that Blaine (aka Black Magic Brakes) built... voila, no more bolt-on cage.

I had the pleasure of wheeling with that rig just after it was finished on Sunbonnet in Johnson Valley and all I could say while watching Jon work it on the rocks was wow. You can see my unworthy previous red Jeep in the background in the third pic. Mine mostly spent the day getting stuck/unstuck.

And if $$$ was no object, I'd just write a blank check to Blaine and come visit my Jeep and hand him tools during the weekends.
