If you had all the cash

Would you do MML/BL with SYE
Did a 2" BB for now but in a couple of years thinking of 3-4" lift
I don't want to deal with a TC drop and have been reading about SYE's
Is there anything bad about any of this?

I don't think I really understand your question. So I wil try to translate what I think you are trying to ask....

You have a 2" BB now that you are happy with, but you want to start planning for for 3-4" lift in the future by correctly doing things in the right order? And while in the planning process, you don't want to spend money needlessly on parts that are not going to part of the future plan. Correct?

If you have the money. A BB+ a BL/MML is a great start. You can fit 33's with proper bumpstops and back spacing. That will last a good 4 years. Then keep the BL take out BB add 4 inch lift and CV shaft. Assuming you have the right axles. Your good to go for 35" tires. (brake upgrades are optional)

And between the BB and 4" lift you can save up and buy a sick tummy tuck. I recommend the UCF super skinny or the savvy under armor. With that right there you can run 85-90% of jhonson valley rubicon or Moab trails.

Kid rock just explained how I built my jeep, less the 35's. Those are a couple of months out.

When you had a BB and BL combo, did you also have to have longer shocks? I know a 2" BB will work with the oem shocks, but not sure if longer shocks are need if also adding a 1-1.25" BL.

BL affects nothing with your suspension. So no. You don't need new shocks.

I would recommend new shocks for increased travel and comfort over stock, however.

You are right, I was thinking the upper rears attached to the body. I had forgotten.

Never been to JV have ya? Guy who designed the UA your touting up there told me once 35's and lockers were the admission to JV, but alot of trails are 40's and better......

You REALLY overestimate the abilities of a stock TJ.

No I havnt. I was generalizing. But 35" tires will get you most anywhere op will want to go. With the exclusion of the most extreme trails. That's my fault for the misinformation.

You never brought up lockers. This is JV, that is Savvy and that's what you run there.

I have an X model Jeep so I am going to assume I have base line axles.
I am really leaning towards 3" with 33's
So many options and ways of getting the same results.
One more year and its paid off so then I can start loading it up with mods or at least the wife says I can

And beef steering that won't pretzel on you, not just any arms and track bars, belly clearance (ie, no stock belly pan) and armor in all the right places, and the knowledge to set it all up.

For 35" D44 would be ideal on a wrangler. A super 35 would be OK...but some wouldn't trust it. Not sure which axles yours has. But definitely if you want to add a BL and go for 33's now. Do some studying into how BUMPstops work and how to measure them properly. Get yourself some quality shocks to fit your BB better. That's an ideal set up till you pay it off. Then if you want to go bigger you can piece together all the parts you need. Steering brakes lift control arms trac bars brake line extensions and undercarriage protection.

I installed the Rubicon Express 2" BB and it came with shocks.
So OME shocks would be better? I assume they would no one that I have ever read says anything negative about OME.

I want to do the BL to eliminate the TC drop and possibly do a MML

I suppose my initial question was how much of the above will need to come off when I switch to 3" or 4" lift?

Would the MML and BL stay or need to go?
I know the shocks and spacers would need to go
And it seems that getting an SYE and CV would be a good way to go
Not even sure about a tummy tuck, did some reading on that and it seems very difficult to do.

I suppose since I said all the cash, replacing the front and rear axles with stronger ones would also be good.

Ok. The body lift won't help you avoid a TC drop. The MML will. So do both at the same time. They both will work ontop of pretty much any lift you want. OME shocks would be better but they aren't your only option. Put the SYE on whenever and that can stay through the whole build also. I believe you can wait to get a CV shaft till you go to a larger lift. IF you decide you want bigger tires and want better axles ford 8.8 or D44. Look into those. I highly recommend you look into lockers.

The hard thing about a tummy tuck is most people have to buy everything for it when they want to do 1. If you already have an SYE, adjustable control arms, a body lift and new motor mounts. All you need is the skid plate.

When you install the SYE, you then need to get a CV shaft. Otherwise you would have no way of reconnecting the stock drive shaft.

Ta-Da. I think that covers everything.

Since that's how it works. Then you should get the sye/CV when you go up in the lift. Getting ahead of ourselves here. BL and MML on top of your 2" BB will fit 33" tires for now. You'll need to adjust your bumpstops though.
