Iggee Seat Covers

I'm getting ready to take the plunge on these seat covers. Not only do they look fantastic, but I hear that they are waterproof as well. I have done a little bit of research and found that if you buy them on Ebay they are significantly cheaper. I went to this link, but had a couple of questions for those of you who have taken the plunge:
JEEP WRANGLER TJ SAHARA 1997-2002 S.LEATHER SEAT COVER | eBay

If you read down it says it includes the front seats and the rear seat. I'm concerned that if I make a purchase commitment, I will end up with the yellow ones in the picture, I want to be able to change the color, but it wont give me that option before it makes me commit. Also, these say they are for the Sahara, but I just have the Sport. Does the seat size change between the two?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I have a set that is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Go ahead and call them, they are nice folks to talk to. I doubt if they sell very many of the color they show on Flea-bay. I think they do that just to attract attention.
I am going to do a write up when I instal them. I have Bestop brand covers on my CJ and while they seem to be ok, they are very basic and required bungee cords underneath to make them tight and stay in place.

Is it me, or are there tears in the seam on a number of seats in the pictures in their eBay ad?

Seats are all the same across models 97-02, 03-06. I have not used them bu the auction instruction say you will be contatacted the day after to get your specific information. (I'd assume color). If in doubt simply call or send them a message on how to specify color. Simple.

Those are 97-02 seats. The slit is for the 97-02 pull strap for the seat to tilt forward.

I ran Iggees before I went with Corbeau seats. Very nice for the price but, they will stretch a little with time. Mine stretch in the lower back area but, not a bother to me. A fellow club member didn't like that issue and wanted to contact them after a period of time when his "sagged" a little.

I got them today and only had time to put one on. They are two piece with all cutouts in the proper place. I put the passenger side on first. My impression is they are very well made and fit nicely. TJ seats have lots of contours and are dished out in the lumbar area. Not easy to make covers for but these are nice so far. I will post pics tomorrow as I do the driver side.
I did NOT have to remove the seat from the rail. Less than ten minutes I had one done.

Thanks for the review Dusty. I'm excited with the pictures that I've seen and the reviews I've read. I placed my order and followed the instructions by leaving what I want in the message box. I'm sure that it's legitimate, but the Ebay process with them just seems really sketchy, and the English for the instructions is very poor. I will definitly give a write up should I ever recieve my covers.

OK everybody, I put the covers on. Each seat takes about 3-4 minutes. The material is nice and thick with padding in strategic areas. All cutouts for seat belts buckles and seat adjustment levers are there and in the right place.

Before I go further " I have no dog in this hunt". I dont work for iggee and it matters not a bit, if they sell another set.

Here is what they look like out of the box. These sat in my jeep for a few days and my dog, with dirty paws, marched across them repeatedly. They were clean and flawless when I opened the box.

Put the back cover on first. There are three, stiff pieces of material you tuck through between the seat and back then fold the velcro together. Boom, you are done with the back.

The seat cover is held in place by elastic around the rim and elastic cords that fasten together with hooks.

15 min and I was done. They look great, fit very well, made well and fit nicely. They are the best I have ever seen. YMMV but they work for me. Note the heavy, "supported" vinyl. Its quality material with flawless stitching.

Dusty, did you order yours from Ebay and did was the rear seat cover included? The wording of the listing is a little vague.

No I called them after reviewing their website. I have a back seat but do not use it. It is sitting in the back of my CJ-5.

Ok. I thought you ordered them from Ebay. The Ebay listing looks suspicious to me. After reading it through several times, it never out and out says it includes a cover for the rear seat. The price is 300 dollars, which is a 100 dollars more than the front pair if you order from the Iggee site.

They look like nice seat covers, I'd just like to know exactly what I'm getting. The ebay listing is from iggeecustomseats, making it look like it's Iggee's listing. If it is them, they're charging a hundred dollars more on Ebay and using ambiguous language, making some people believe they're getting a full set of seat covers when they're not. That doesn't sit well with me.

I ordered mine through eBay in march for $270 and it included the rear. I agree the wording was vague and it would have been $400 from their site. So I called and clarified what was included and it was legit.

For that much money why not just replace the seats altogether. For another hundred you can get some vinyl seats and not have to worry about replacing them n the future. If you don't have the money then save up. A buddy of mine had those and they were great for a while but remember they are seat covers and like someone said earlier they are gonna stretch. I would just go with a solid color vinyl seat. Those are to expensive for seat covers in my opinion.

I contacted them directly and was told it would include the rear seat. I didn't order yet though, so not confirmation from me.

I don't know about the Bestop seats afguy linked to, but I have had these bestop seat covers for my 01 TJ, front and back, and could not be happier. They say they are denim, but they don't feel like jeans or anything. More like a slick backpack material.

Everyone seems to be happy with their covers. It's their seats that have problems. I really like the iggees and I'll probably end up buying a set when I have the extra money.

Thanks for all the input. Here is the scoop from my end, in case anybody is interested. They are now $300, not the $275 or whatever they used to be, unless I didn't look hard enough on Ebay (could be the case.) The Ebay posting is vague and confusing, as well as poorly written. I saw this posting almost a year ago, and remembered being wowed. I promised myself I would by a set once I needed them. Currently, mine would probably be fine, but my passenger side was slowly starting to tear. I work at a shelter, and noticed that some of our clientele had contributed to stretching it a little bit further than it should be right now. I just put my back seat in, as the ol' lady and I will be having her sister with us for the summer. The back seat looks considerably brighter than the front, as it has been garaged most of its life, so having a matching cover was important to me. If you can keep up with their Ebay page, it does mention that the back seat cover is included. If you only want the front, Iggee offers this option as well. I ordered through Ebay, and followed the instructions by putting my color choice and jeep model and year through the message box after you "commit to purchase." I did not take the step of E-mailing them a picture of my Jeep seat (Common... really?!?!) The money was taken from my Pay-Pal, but I never heard any information from them, or received any confirmation, other than that from Ebay. I also left my e-mail address, and my cell number in the message box after I committed to purchase. I called them up yesterday to make sure my order was received and was being dealt with. The lady who answered spoke in very broken English, but was very happy to help answer my question. With a little poking around, she found my order, and told me it would be 2-3 weeks till they arrived.

Although the process through Ebay was a little strange, I have a feeling I will be just as pleased as all the other Jeepers who have taken the plunge on their Iggees. As for the customer service, no complaints, they did their jobs just as promised. My only "complaint" would be that they need to be more clear with what's offered and available, how much it costs, and shipping time. Maybe they'll use my $300 to hire somebody to help them re-write their selling script. But probably not!

Oh, and AFGUY, I never considered it would be cheaper to replace the whole seats. I bet the shipping costs would kill though. However, I do agree with you, it would be worth it to save and just make that commitment. But, If the Iggees look as good in my Jeep as what I've seen, it'll be worth the money (IMO.)
