I'm Back!

Well first Hi everyone! My names Kyle, I'm 22 from mansfield ohio. I joined the board a few months ago when I had a 95 sahara for a short time but traded it for my 94 mustang GT that I love. A little history in highschool I had a 99 sport that I loved and have regreted getting rid of it ever since, well I just had an oppertunity to buy another one and I jumped on it. Guy wanted to get rid of his wrangler for payoff since he has a kid due any day and needed something easier to put a car seat in so I picked up a 2005 wrangler sport, full doors, 3.73 gears (according to the window sticker he had) 7 speaker stereo, newer tires and 69,000 miles for $10,500 it was at least a good deal for me since after searching craigslist and autotrader I couldnt touch one similar for under $13-14k. Oh and only plans right now are repaint wheels silver, paint fender flairs black, fix the dent in the front bumper

and one of my other toys my 1994 GT

I would have a mechanic check your Jeep out very thoroughly; the guy who sold it to you sounds like a bit of an id10t. The whole reason we bought our Jeep is because of how easy it is to get the car seat in/out and buckle up the little one. Name another vehicle that is not a van/minivan that you can stand in (with the top up even) and buckle a kid into a car seat.

Enjoy your Jeep!

I don't know what state you are in yahaha, but in California the kid has to be in the back seat in his carseat. If it doesn't have a back seat, ie: a pickup truck, it can go in the front seat ONLY if the airbag can be turned off - not by pulling a fuse. Never seen that feature in a Jeep.

I think the rules are the same in most states.

He got a sweet deal.

I went to school with the guys wife so Ive known here for at least 6 years plus I work at an auto center so I checked everything out best I could but thanks for the concern. His wife is only like 4'10 so her trying to load a carseat and a child into the back would be real difficult. Ive been driving it all day with the top down and enjoying every minute
