I'm new, need some help

Just to introduce myself I'm Evan, 17 years old in high school. I was just welcomed to the jeep family this passed weekend with a 2005 Rocky Mountain Edition.

This jeep is my daily driver to work and school and I was wondering what are some easy upgrades I could do to personalize my jeep but not ruin the MPG.

I don't plan to do much off roading either, maybe a little as long as my dad doesn't find out. Right now it sits on 31's. I've had a few things in mind like buying running boards, plasti dipping my bezel's, and maybe a lift in the near future.

I'm still new to this jeep life so don't throw any big words at me please.
My questions are,
Are there and easy mods I could do to make it better looking?
Also if I were to get a lift how big of one should I get?

I'd like to keep it cheap, I'm only in high school and making $7.50 and hour.
Thanks family!

What should I name her?

Take the plastic jugs off the bumpers. Cut the front bumper down to look like a rock crawler bumper. budget boost. Plasti the rims and headlight. cut down the fenders. LED tail lights. LED dash lights. Pillow stuffing in sound bar. Thats a nice list to get you going

Cut the fenders if its legal in for you, take the milk jugs off the front and rear bumpers, go topless every day, new wheels, add another color (I've got lime green all over mine), upgrade the shocks if they are still stock. That's all I can think of for now, I know some aren't really mods but what ever... Don't forget to just have fun with her. Also name her

It kinda tricks the speaker into thinking its in a better box. You just stuff the box with pillow stuffing and boom itll sound much better. Lwave a bit of room right behind the speaker and make sure the rest is stuffed but not packed down. You will be happy you did it the 1st song you hear.

What all is lime green on your jeep? I'm a huge fan of Lime and black. Also what did you use to make it lime?

I am on high school too. A 2.5" lift with 31s is what I run. Slap a few stickers on because they add horsepower. Spray on Berliner and plasmid up are good for blacking things out. I'm gonna do flush mount led tailights. Look at the threa called cheap easy fun creative mods. Full of great stuff

Evan, you sound like a great kid.Friends you let ride will adore you.....ones you don't will seethe in envy. How do I know this....it's what I feeling right now. Seventeen and a really cool ride. Be cautious and take things slow.....much cooler to cruise to a destination than race like a bandit. Congratulations and enjoy.

I would assume so, I would try it but I've gotta sell her soon so everything is going back to black.... you just need to have a good prep and make sure everything is clean.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I'm in my last couple months of my senior year and I got my 01 SE back in October. I started with plasti dipping the fenders, then put light guards on all my lights and a Smittybilt fuel door, painted the interior, put 2 KCs on, 2" Budget boost, Bushwacker flat fenders, rock lights, Warrior diamond plate and once the weather warms up here in Nevada I'll be able to put on my tube doors. Take your time and look around on here and you'll find all kinds of things you like and want. Click image for larger version

Close enough? I know you can get a custom color kit from plasti dip, but not in a spray.

Welcome Even, you have a nice looking jeep. Very clean. I would suggest you don't get in too big a hurry. Yes, take the milk jugs off. You are already on 31's and truth be told most guys don't need more (want is different). I put 1" inch lift springs in my TJ and run 31's (huge thread about H & R lift springs someplace). This keeps it cheap and clean. You would want shocks too, check the thread. Then I suggest you drive it and spend your limited budget on chasing women. Clean TJ's are getting harder to find, looks like you found a nice one.

New jeeper need advice

Hey everyone I'm a 19 year old college kid buying my first jeep. I'm considering buying a 2005 Wrangler X Rocky Mountain Edition with 117,000 miles for 10,950. Clean car fax with 3 prior owners who all had the car for a few years and had no accidents or problems with the car. It has a hard top on it with tinted windows, the tow hooks up front and a hitch on the back. I'm dying to buy my 1st wrangler and might start here. I know this kid just bought an RME so do you guys think its a good deal?

I bought a 2001 Se 4 banger with the auto transmission with that same amount of miles for $6900, I think you might have a little wiggle room on that price with that high of miles
