Image upload space full, can I have more?

So, I'm pretty much out of my alloted upload space on the forum. I don't have an account with any other image hosting websites currently. Is there any way I can get my space increased? All of the images I currently have uploaded are in the threads where I have shown my equipment installs and i'd really rather not delete them if I didn't have to. Anyone know if the space alloted can be increased?

If this isn't possible I can look into other means, I just figured it would be best to have the images hosted "in house" as they are mostly intended for educational purposes and to show others examples of work that can be done on their wrangler.

Go sign up with an image hosting site and learn how to get image urls and use the "[img]" tags or become a supporting member and host them here

I use photobucket and have thousands of photo's that I share on numerous web pages..... another of my hobbies is photography. I have an upgraded "paid" account with photobucket because I ran out of space with them...and thats pretty hard to run out of space with PB, lol

You can't upload from your phone? When I send a post it has an attachment button to upload from the camera or gallery. Makes life a whole lot easier

If you find you are becoming a more active member, 25.00 rocks...you help keep the forum running and you get 2500 PM's, and I attach a pic to everything (we all like pics!) and am no where close to maxing out.

Everyone's financial situation is their own, I try not to tell people how to spend their money on here, but if you go to the main screen and scroll to the bottom and see all the names. The blue ones are supporting members, light black are members, dark black are mod's and it will say something like 190 active, 1097 guests in the heading (it changes of course) look at how many guest (no screen names, not able to post, but able to read) and non supporting members are relying on the blue and dark black members to keep this up and running at any one time. non paying vs. paying is about 10:1 usually. Once I hit 400 posts I realized I used the forum, was staying active everyday on it, so I better pay up or shut up.

I look at the 25.00 as a cost for awesome tech support on a 12 year old Jeep, can't beat the price!

(Mods, can i get a discount next year for my public service announcement? )

Seriously though, if you want to post alot of pics that are embedded, uploading straight on here is the way to go. PLUS, you get the cool stickers

I know I can delete them, but all of my pictures are in "build threads" which would become essentially pointless without the pictures in them.. I figured if people are searching for them in the future, they would probably want the images that were supposed to go with.

You do realize advertising brings the company who owns this site a lot of money right? More of their revenue is from ads than supporting members.. and not all supporting members contribute anything of value to the forum. I see more non supporting members add relevant content to the forum which in turn brings more members, thus bringing more advertising dollars. Essentially becoming a supporting member gives you a little more space for messages and pics and gives you a 20x20 bigger avatar and some cheap stickers.. I would hardly say they keep the site running.

hey, trust me, i see all the ads on every corner of the screen and know those are generating tons of money. And also know that at 80,000+ members if we all paid 25.00 it would be over 2,000,000 annually in cash.

I just look at it as if, you sign up so you can ask a question or two over the course of a year when you are wondering about a part or procedure, perfect for what a free membership forum is ( I am a member of Saturn forum and ATV connection and at least one for every other car i have owned for that exact reason). If you log in couple times a day and comment here and there, perfect for what a free forum is. Even if you have 10,000+ post in a year, a regular Chatty Cathy, surfing every area and spreading your wealth of knowledge, cool with me, use the free membership...that's why you get some PM's and some picture uploads.

I just am saying nothing in life is free, if you want to upload hundreds of photos...you have to pay the Piper so to speak.

I am not flaming anyone for not being a supporting member, and I am not saying supporting members are any more versed in their knowledge. I am saying supporting members get more space to upload pics...like the OP was asking about.

500% more message space actually, more picture storage space also. Plus a great atmosphere.

I suggest the same as the first reply. Find a image hosting service, they are all free. Photobucket lifted their storage limit months ago. I use photobucket, but there are plenty more. Flickr, Picasa, shutterfly and tinypic to name a few.

The only pics I have on the site I use in my Jeep profile. It is tons easier to keep pics on a photo sharing site so I can post them anywhere I want. Also keeps the server load off the forum.

I have a photobucket app on my phone that automatically uploads any picture I take to my account as well. I got 1175 pictures on it right now.
