in-expensive nerf bars.. what brand?

lookin for a set of less expensive nerf bars, ive been looking and seems to be a bunch of them from eby to whitney to summit..etc. they appear to look the same, just different names.im sure they all roll off the same assembly line in the farthest reaches of china or Malaysia..but prices are all over the place..any ideas?

I've got a set of N-Fab nerf bars on the way, they had pretty good reviews.

FWIW threw a set of bars on my '04 shortly after purchase that hung up frequently when off road......recently replaced with rock rails....so much better....just asking...not to be mean but why nerf bars when you can get rails for about the same price that do the same thing only better? unless you don't know the difference / advantage?

Can't speak for the OP but for me the nerf bar steps come down much further than rock rails. Good for a 5'2" pregnant wife and the eventual short kids.

I understand but for my vertically challenged wife in tight jeans I use a step I toss in the back of the Jeep....but with a whole family may not be practical...congrats on new arrival coming!!

Thanks! Although I just realized this is in the TJ section. The nerf bar is for my wife's JKU, fwiw. Going to get rock rails on the TJ one of these days.

Just so you get the right product for your needs, what is the purpose of the nerf bars? Are they primarily to be used as steps for someone, just for looks, or for protection on the trail?

mainly a "looks" application and a way for a 5' girl to get in.i have the drop down steps but we are not big fans of them,i guess they server the purpose, but we both agreed the bars look better.there is basically a zero percent chance of rock climbing or major off roading with this jeep as well..i have old 4x4 farm truck for that! Lol
