I was leaking coolant in the back of my 97 2.5l, and I could tell my valve cover gasket was bad. So I decided to pull engine apart and replace all the gaskets. Everything came apart fine. There was one exhaust manifold bolt broken in the back, i cleaned it up and started to put it back together.
My first problem came when i dropped a bolt down one of the push rod holes, so i used a magnet thing to pull it out and ended up pulling out one of the lifters, I put some engine lube on the lifter and forced it back into its hole. I also had alittle trouble putting the fuel injector setup back into the intake manifold, once i tightened the bolts it seemed seated correctly.
After everything was back together I started her up, it took a few tires to get started and once it did it ran very rough. I hear a tick coming from the valve cover I believe, I took it around the block to see how it drove and there is almost no power at all.
Not really sure what to do at this point...anyone have suggestions?
