Who's paying the bill and is this lift for performance or show?

That's a tough go there....he's not for it plus trying to get him to pay half too lol

It's not functional but tell him it gives you a better vantage to scope out chicks....that prob won't get you anywhere..

He very well may have a valid point.

Where have you gone where you were legitimately stuck because you were NOT "lifted". As in better tires, lockers, better driving skills, skid plates or some other accessory would not have helped.

Additionally, have you wheeled long enough to determine what your suspension travel requirements will be?

Well he just doesn't wanna see me waist money but I've wheeled pretty hard sonetime deep mud, river fordin (never doin that again) and I work on a farm where I gotta clean the deep woods and stumps and everythin are huge cautions plus the suspension is already beat and new tires.are gonna happen soon so I decided why not

Keep working on that farm and save the money for the whole lift. You'll feel better about yourself and probably earn a lot of respect from Dad. Then he'll be more likely to help out with future ventures. You're already a lucky kid, most parents wouldn't let their teenagers even drive a TJ let alone own one. I hear a lot of kids who would kill for a Jeep but mom and dad deem them unsafe for their kids.

What ratio are you running now? Try to fit 32's under there now. That way when you buy your lift if they're still good they won't look super goofy and then when you get your next set after them buy33's.

I'd say tell him it really helps with offroading, the clearence advantage is awesome and your jeep is up for new suspension components anyway so why not lift it?
