Info about quality of lifts

First I would like to say thanks for the great site. You can REALYY absorb alot of beneficial info here, PLEASE keep up the comments for all. I am new to the JEEP arena. Purchased a 01 TJ. It already has a 2.5 inch SKYJACKER lift with 33" tires. I have found a great deal on some tires and wheels, but the tires are 34" in diameter. Question is this.. do SKYJACKER lifts ride that much worse than the RUBICON lifts. Is it worth the money to swap on over to a new 4" lift with new driveshaft and all, or go with some boosters and a bodylift/engine lift. Money is really not an issue, but I would rather spend it on other beneficial mods. Thanks guys.

Really! Money is not an issue. Then throw some over my way!

Welcome to the madness. We will help make money an issue.

Are you sure you want to spend money on a new lift to run 1" bigger diameter tires?

Welcome aboard. This is a great site with some great people whose rigs have grown over the two years we've been up and running.

First I'd ask what kind of 4 wheeling you are planning on doing with your rig? What percentage of time will you be on road vs. off road? This might dictate where you want your rig to be in the future so that you don't waste money now.

Because honestly to fit a 34" tire comfortably on the setup you have right now you could just do a 1" body lift and be done with it. However if you plan to trail rig out your jeep then there are some other options that we could get into.

2.5 in and 33's do you rub???????

and i would agree it all depends on what you want to do with it, will you be wheeling a lot and want the flex or do you want to get the tires/lift cheap and put your $$ into like fender flares or other "dress up" (cant think of the word[mall crawler stuff i guess]) things

i would say that you would want at least 4-5 in of lift for 34's though

so you could stay w/ what you have get spacer and a bl and get 6.75 lift quite enough for 34's a BL alone might do the trick at 3.75

any ways or you could go with a 6 in long arm kit with sye and belly up and then you would have a amazing off road capabilities
