Welcome to the forum, I put 6.5 in my pods I trimmed the speaker and put new holes in it so it would mount up with the factory speaker covers it was a pita. The speaker itself will fit you just have to take around an .5" off of the outside of it then lay it up against the factory speaker cover and mark and drill the holes and put them up at the same time ill try to post pics tomorrow. Nice jeep by the way love the front fenders they look awsome! I have the same smittybilt sticker on the same side but under the wrangler decal lol

Many of us have 6.5 in the 03+ pods. I did not have to trim anything.

I have 6.5 polks in mine and did not have to trim mine an it's a 2000. You shouldn't have a problem fitting some 6.5s

I'd love to get pics of the pod after you drilled the holes to check their locations. I bought 6.5s for my 06 pods and it seems like its so borderline right at the edge not all the screws are going to make contact lol.

I basically just held the speaker in place and ran some course thread screws in the mounting holes of the speaker.

Does it sount better than the factory speakers cause they f-n suck? And can you run pods and a sound bar? I know pods go behind the rollbar and sound bar goes in front
