Installed my sound system

What an improvement! My stock speakers were blown and I was ready for a decent system.

Parts list:

Sony head unit with Bluetooth
Polk 5.25 for the dash
Polk 6.5 for the sound bar
JL Audio 10" sub
Rockford 600.5 amp

Getting ready

Installing dynamat in the sound bar

Now the Polk 6.5 separates. Had to cut a 2" hole for the tweeters

Installed the amp under the rear seat. Used spacers to raise it a 1/4" off of the floor.

Sony head unit installed

Mounted the sub on the rear gate.

Made some final adjustments and what a difference. Music is clean and loud. I love using the Bluetooth to stream music from my phone.

Ran all new wiring, no engine noise, very satisfied.

I'll take one tomorrow when it's daylight out. My only disappointment was I hoped the sub would have fit under my Best Top rear security trunk. I might make a custom enclosure to allow me to use it.

I don't care for heavy bass, just even music. While it's hard to hear the dash speakers due to the rears being at ear level, it still sounds great. I'll continue to tweak the settings.

use the headunit and fade it to the front a little bit, thats what i did have mine set to +2 front, -2 Rear and it sounds even, lol i used to have a camry with 4000watts RMS and you could not even hear the words from the interior speakers (i used to just drive around listening to bass mechanics /techno in highschool lol) i looked pretty retarded im sure.. dark green camry with huge neon green spoiler, subs, hubcap spinners lol, altho i did eventually paint the car all 1 color

I just thought I'd let everyone know that the dash speakers in the photo were initially installed incorrectly. In the picture you can see they pointed down towards the floor. I have since swapped them so as to be angled towards the passengers.
