installing fog lights (long)

i got some fog lights (free) but they came with wiring for an 07 jeep using bullet style connectors. i know i can buy the factory plug in harness (plugs in light and plugs into harness in wheel well)

here is a pic of the install kit for my 06 jeep.

small pic but you can see that its a plug in harness on both sides (plug in style for the light and plug in for wire harness). so im just wondering can i cut the harness in half and splice it onto the current wires on the lights? so i would be using one plug-in for the wiring harness in the wheel well and the other side would be spliced into the current light wiring (instead of plug in)...will this work?? the kit comes with the relay and switch also so all i need is this wiring. i just need to know if i can splice one end of the harness onto the current wires or if i will have to wire it up completely different with a different switch (like universal fog lights would be)

You may need different connectors, but I don't see why they wouldn't work as long as you had a good, solid connection.

Personally, I'd just buy good gauge wire at an auto parts store, pick up a 30A relay and a switch, and do it yourself. You can then route it however you want, have minimal splices, and have it work just as well.

I got some older Mopar fogs for my TJ and I didn't have ANY wiring on my SE. I added connectors to the fogs and ran my own wiring for it and they work great. The wiring is run neatly and not an issue at all. AND I don't have to worry about high/low beams affecting whether my fogs work or not.
