If you have a two small screwdriver size prybars you can pop the linkage loose from the plastic keepers... they are tough, but do pop out

Can't help with the zbar ? Sorry

Ok it's on haven't tested it or nothing yet but the biggest PITA was removing the old piece of crap shifter linkage. Everything was rusted to crap it was a mess! The rubber things holding the rods on are also a pita the only one I ended up having to remove was the one that attaches to the shiter lever itself. Man was that a pain! I couldn't pull that sucker off of there for the life of me so I torched it until it just started melting and yanked it good and popped right out then it was cake from then on! If anyone has a question on installing it I'm here for ya!!!!

Oh and almost forgot they forgot to send some nuts with my kit!!! The ones that go on the underside of the floor bracket. Not cool

Edit: oh man I just reread this post and there is a mistake in there but it was funny so I left it! Let's see if you can find it LMAO

I pried it off and IIRC it was a giant PITA! Also, I used a Dremel and cut through that bracket in your first pic. I was then able to bend it up and get to that upper nut much more easily.

Oh yeah that upper nut was crazy! I used a socket wrench and did it up over the top of the transfercase and pulled it to break it loose. It took some work but it was a fun day!

I made it harder on myself by installing my Savvy under armor first so I had even less room to get at that nut. Lesson learned

Removal was time consuming but not too difficult...overall I found the install to be fairly straight forward aside from my linkage being WAAAAAY out of adjustment (due to my Jeep being an oddball and requiring some bending and rigging).
