Folks--im in the middle of flushing the rusty water from 2000 wrangler 4.0 sport. After many fills/flushes I still have some rusty water. I'm going to do another few flushes this weekend.
Interesting--what I did notice was no heat and decided maybe the thermostat was stuck open. The prior owner told me he installed a new radiator and a "fail safe tstat. Well--I too upper rad off off radiator and blew into it--sure enough water flew out of the top of radiator. Can I assume tstat is open --let me blow into hose and push water out of block into lower rad hose? I may stick a garden hose in the upper rad hose and flush right through the "stuck open" tstat before I replace it with a standard stat.
Also-are the heater hoses both jeep "molded" hose or is the bottom one not molded and typical straight hose? thanks!!
