My interior light won,t burn when I open the door but I can switch it on with the headlight switch and it will work.Think it could be a fuse?

Today I was wiring up some new speakers, and discovered a switch under the pass side corner of the dash that disables the interior lights. It's factory ( tho it may be optional)

yes, exactly like that switch. The 2 spades in the lower right plug into the fusebox.

I see. it REPLACES the dome light defeat fuse?

I bought one from online some where, the prongs they give you to put into the fuse pannel kept falling out and would block other fuses. I endend up using a regular fuse to plug into it, with wires soldered on.

If your handy you can make one of these pretty easily. All you need is a switch, inline fuse, piece of sheet metal (or something to mount the switch on), some wire, and the fuse you use to plug into the pannel.

A switch was not factory.

I made my own for a couple dollars.
