Interior shift boot torn

A lot of heat is coming into the cabin from the torn shift boot. I want to get a replacement but i cannot find any that fits mine anywhere. I see Some on Quadratec but none that will fit my 2003 manual. It is not a circle it's a weird shape. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They do make a rectangular plastic bracket that holds the boot in place. Paid 25$ at Chrysler dealership since it was a dealer only part.??? Not sure that info is relevant...

Someone here on the forums makes custom ones out of vinyl. I'll try to find the link.

I got one for my 2003 Sport at a junk yard. I pulled it myself and paid $20. I got the cabin boot and plastic bracket for an obscene $75 at the dealership. The plastic bracket was like $49 and the boot was $25.

Both my boots were torn and a lot of heat was coming up from that area. After replacing both boots things got a lot better.

I also had problems getting the boot that attaches to the floor. The dealer wanted to sell it as part of an assembly (like what the OP experienced) and it was like $180! The yard part was very dirty and not in the best condition, but when I got it home I cleaned it up and it turned out to be pretty good, actually.

Makes a big difference having that floor boot in place with no holes! And the upper shift boot and bracket made the jeep look tons better. Worth the effort to fix all this, for sure.

Nice find Sarge. The early model 97-02 (EM) inner boot will work with the late model 03-06 (LM) tub with minor modification. The pics show how we adapted an EM boot to my son's new LM tub. We used aluminum sheet metal because it is easier to form than steel but either will work.
