Intro w PICS

New to the forum and wanted to say hello and thx for already helping me with great info from the site to help me make my purchase of my first jeep! My names Chris, I'm 23 and I picked up this sweet little 03 Wrangler bone stock with a 4.0 5 spd and 76k on the clock. [IMG][/IMG]
I got a fair deal on the jeep and after searching for 4 months I am glad I jumped on this one because it was super clean and almost rust free. [IMG][/IMG]
My brother has given me some inspiration into which way I would go with my jeep with his 07 Rubi[IMG][/IMG]

dreaming of 35s....

and then my dream came true finally after driving stock for a few months I equipped my 4 in pro comp short arm lift kit and pro comp mt2 mud terrain tires! so this is how she sits as we speak....

Looks good...body lift it to give a bit more clearance for those tires. You're also going to need to upgrade your axles and your steering for those 35's...a regear would also be very beneficial

Go with a ford 8.8 or d44 rear axle...the d35 which you currently have should really only run 33's at the largest. As for the front you can replace with a d44 from a rubi or you could get some chromoly axle shafts. As for steering, at the very least get new tie rods and drag links.

Brakes should be "ok" since you can engine brake...

Looks good so far though

Thx for the advice! I've read all the threads about what you should have to run 35's so in due time my friend it'll be a true beast!

Mine goes in for axles, gears, and steering on friday

Keep an eye on your steering box as well...look up the Durango conversion if you haven't already.

X2 I would also get rid of the TC-Drop and get a SYE with CV-Driveshaft. 4 in of lift is pretty steep and pushing the limits for the slip yoke, esp trying to turn 35's. SYE are Stronger, a lot less headache and doesnt rob your clearance like the TC-Drop.

In time boys, the jeep isn't my daily driver so for now this works but you are right SYE is on the top of my list for upgrades
