iphone 4 or jeep parts

Okay I know this is probably a stupid q uestion to ask in here but my brother says I need a big boy phone lol.

Instead of the iphone I could get
Jks quick disconnects
Kc daylighters and brackets
Finish my cb set up
Anything under $180.

Keep in mind I do have a job so this isnt the only time ill have this extra money.

And iPhones are for hipsters and metrosexuals. Either get the Jeep parts or an Android based phone.

I'd start with the basics & get some recovery gear. Front & rear tow hooks, a recovery (aka snatch) strap (NOT A TOW STRAP), maybe a tree saver strap, & a couple 3/4" shackles. Or a decent air compressor.

Smart phones are handy (Android based much better), but why are you letting someone else tell you that you need one?

Personally unless you really need one, I'd wait until it was upgrade time on the contract and not pay extra too early. Not worth it.

Jeep parts ftw

I'm pretty sure there are a few carriers you can get the iPhone for free. So the answer is get both.

And I would maybe alter your wish list to include some of the things on Jerry's list. There are things much more essential than lights.

Buddy, I have the iphone 5.
I also have the TJ.
Seriously?
Be a man, build your truck. Next year there's iphone 6, ooh!
Your TJ though has the potential to be the talk of the town - for many years to come.

Or for people who like their phones to work bug free for their entire 2 year contract. Tell me how you like that android when it's close to your upgrade and it's a lag monster.

First off, nothing iPhone is "big boy"... they are about two steps above a LeapPad.
Get a free Droid (it will run circles around the iPhone) and spend the money on Jeep parts.

And if you are such a tight budget, there's much cheaper light options than anything KC makes. Not saying that KC is bad, but there are lights that work just fine at a fraction of the cost.

A free android phone running circles on an iPhone? I really thought this forum had a better grasp of technology. The only android based phones that are even comparable to the iPhone 5 are Samsung gs3 and note 2. Everything else is trash.

X2.
I need to get recovery gear asap myself and if you plan on doing some offroading then it's always nice to have so you're not s.o.l

Right. At least my Android GPS navigation system won't erroneously send people out into the remote Australian Outback or other equally bad nav screw ups like the iPhone has been in the news for so much recently.

I have no problem with you loving your iPhone but calling the Android "trash" was childish.

Yeah, um, he said iPhone 4 first off, second, any Android is better than the restrictive nature of Apple and it short vision of technology, users rights and innovation. Apple does two things well, marketing and suing.

As for a grasp on technology... I'm a computer tech for an office of over 100 users and I deal with every smart phone that comes through the door.

The only thing I would rate below an iPhone would be a Blackberry.

Every phone other then the 2 I stated are. And iPhones built in GPS is a terrible bases for an argue meant. You can use google maps on an iPhone. Boom problem solved. Android as a platform is clunky and unreliable. Whereas iOS is smooth and always maintains a certain level of performance. You don't have to worry about the massive battery drains and many other problems that droids experience from their inability to properly close out applications. FYI I have used many android phones. I speak from experience. If you want to hack your phone run custom roms and over clock your processor (like i have done in the past) than get an android. But for the 95% of people that never will (or don't want to deal with the hassles that come with that as well) the iPhone is the way to go.

"smooth and always maintains a certain level of performance".... I'll tell that to the next user that brings me an iPhone with a bad battery that can't be replaced or that lost all their data when they plugged it in to sync it.

Crazy as it seems I almost forgot this was a wrangler forum with all this unnecessary chat about phones.

Stick with the jeep parts until you get an upgrade on your phone contract. No need to spend more on a phone just because someone told you too

If you have a bad battery that happens. There will always be lemons no matter what the product is. There are also droids that's cannot remove their batteries. (Droid razor max). And if you lose data by having your iphone sync with iTunes then you have no business around any phone whatsoever. You can tell iTunes that you don't want an auto sync when you first start up iTunes. Simple. Neither of those knocks were against the performance of the operating system I might add. So far nobody has brought up a single knock on the iPhones operating system.

An Iphone is just a means of wasting time and money - as opposed to a Jeep which is - ummm - never mind....

He is in a contract right now though so he would have to wait for his upgrade. But I agree. Jeep parts first always
