Hello All. Was wondering where I could get a type of iphone / iPad aux like wiring to their existing wrangler radio as in a 2005 Rubi. Has anyone tried this ?
Also is there a bluetooth phone adapter for this old jeep radio too?
I don't like looks of aftermarket systems and the current radio puts out good sound with the subwoofer and 7 speakers already

The Blue Tooth type devices work by broadcasting a signal to the radio station. The issues there are interference. IF you travel as other stations come and go, you will get interference. If you live in a city with lots of radio stations, you will have issues finding a clean station.
Does your Jeep have a cassette player? If so, those wired cartridges work pretty good.

Trust me the integration units do not work that well and do not allow full control of the ipod. In addition for the price of the integration unit, you are very close to the cost of a basic head unit. A new head unit and uprgraded speakers will be a HUGE jump in sound quality (if you think stock is good) I did the speakers a long time ago and had antenna Aux input. Thought it was not bad. Then I got a new head unit and the sound volume was so much more and controls for the ipod are great to have.

Yes. You might be right. Get an amp under seat too. But the 05 Rubi system has such good Bass now. I had a 2007 and added the Migig with an amp and had more power but it was Tinnie sounding. But that 07 did not have the Bass speaker. So might have to upgrade. But they look so cheap / not jeep like. Thx

I have the Mopar iPod Integration kit for my Jeep. I believe they do not make them anymore. You can try and see if a dealer somewhere still has one on the shelf. Possibly eBay or somebody may have one lying around. For the newer iPod's you will need an adapter so it will charge the iPod. I am able to completely control my iPod thru the stock radio.

Integration Kit part number:
82210181AB (For use on RAH, RAZ, RBP, RBK, RBQ, RB1, REF, RAQ, RAK, & REC radios)

The modulators IMHO are not worth it. In addition to what I indicated in post #4. I had one and while you can find a frequency that is not used in your area, if you travel, you may run into areas where you have interference. Also, at least the one I had, the volume was very weak. Forget about hearing it with the top down.

I might give it a try. Thanks. Volume feels week with iphone itunes and pandora with many basic aux plugs actually. The Migigs that came out with 07 jeeps are really sick /read and memorized like 100 CDs !! Had a black ops Rubi 2010 once with it. Wish those would Fit on the 05.

I use this in my `04: iSimple iPod® Adapter Listen to your iPod through your factory stereo at Crutchfield.com
It works off of the CD changer input in the Factory Radio giving full control over the iPod.
If you want use this for an iPhone where you need to plug it in each time you get in you Jeep, i wouldn't recommend it, however, if you attach a spare iPod to it, you can hide the iPod behind the glove box (attached with velro), then you only need to remove it when you want to change the tracks on the iPod.

Has anyone found a 30pin bluetooth adapter that works with this TJ Mopar iPod Integration Kit? My iPod has sadly died. All my music is now on iPhones and iPadsIntegration Kit part number:
