Is it ok to paint powdercoat?

I was wondering if it would hurt anything if I painted my front bumper black to match the rest of the black on my Jeep. Will the paint stick to the powdercoat?

Thanks

yes it is ok. Try a spot on it and check when it is dry if it will peel or not normally it will not. IF it does sand it a little so you scuff up the surface and then it will stick no problem.

you should always sand it first. Then clean it with wax and grease remover. Lay down some self etching primer, then paint. Powdercoat is as good a base as any.

Paint sticks to it fine, providing the powdercoating itself is in good condition. I'm always painting over powdercoating since it doesn't hold up to the rocks and the paint does fine.
