Is it smart to buy my lift online?

I am looking at this lift, Teraflex 1456332 - TeraFlex 3" Performance Suspension System with Shocks for 97-06 JeepĀ® Wrangler TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec ,
It says it will fit my 2005 Wrangler X TJ and i am just nervous because it is online. Any suggestions and do you recommend this lift?

Thanks in advance!

Teraflex makes good lifts (I have one on my JK) and Quadratec is fine to order from.

You can do much better than that kit for $1600.

That kit is decent but no adjustable control arms or even fixed length? Stock control arms and $1400? I know OME is good. My brother has it on his Toyota FJ and loves it. But 1400 and you still have a long way to go to complete that lift.

When you decide on a lift, PM AOR. Allen is a supporting vendor here and his prices are great. IMHO

Welcome to 2003, buying online is SOP nowadays.

I wouldn't recommend that kit, though.

You don't need them with a 2.5" suspension lift, and the stock arms are better than most after market fixed arms. The nice thing about the OME is the quality of the parts, the adjustable track bars, the excellent shocks, and the fact that it gets you up to about 3.75" of lift without giving up road manners. You don't need anything more to complete it.

stop worrying about buying the lift "online". instead, worry about buying quality components. in fact, you're better off piecing your own "kit" together from various manufacturers - all online.

I'd suggest taking a look at companies like Savvy Off-Road, Currie Enterprises, Clayton Off-Road, Old Man Emu, BDS Suspension, Clayton Off-Road, Black Magic Brakes, etc.

Piece it together. Read and listen to the folks here. At least 3 very in the know folks right here in your thread. I have a mix of manufacturers in my build and I am happy as a clam with my lift.

Echo the above, Currie, SAVVY, BM brakes, BDS and Metalcloak, throw in some Clayton's and you have a dandy lift that will flex and handle like no other.
