That seems high to me. Last month I got a 2001 Sport 4.0l, with a/c, manual trans, all stock with hardtop, 152,000 miles for $6000 up in MA. Had some frame rust, but welded plates (done by seller at my request and no cost to me) and some additional work by me and it is nice now.
Coyote you are right and I'm trying to wait them out. I agree with the group. Now I have to wait for them to realize it and hope someone with more money than sense doesn't come along and give them what they are asking. I offered 8k and felt that was a little high but like I said. I do want he jeep.
These whats it worth threads are better with pics! :thumb:
So I'm curious as to why the Jeep is missing the "Wrangler" and "4.0L" decals on the driver side.. 98's not come with them? that area been painted? Or was it just peeling/faded and they chose to take it off?
Yeah that seems a bit over priced, about a month ago I bought my bone stock 1999 4.0 manual with 152k for $4400, little bit of frame rust but no rot yet so I POR-15'd the frame and internal frame coating so no worries there, I think I got a pretty good deal, I definitely wouldn't pay $9200 for a 98 with that many miles, but that's just me
Maybe sentimental isn't the right word. My wife passed away last December and I'm buying the Jeep as an escape for my kids and I. This jeep is purple and that was my wife's favorite color. I showed it to my 5 year old and he said "that was Mommy's favorite color, we have to get it." I don't want to overspend just because of that but if I can get them to drop the price some it would sure put a smile on my son's face.
I am sorry for your loss, That price seems a bit much to me, but I am a softie when it comes to my kids. I would try to negotiate a better price, but it would hard for me to hurt my little ones....
