Question Is there a difference between OEM and aftermarket parts???

Folks...had an issue with my 2000 Wrangler 4.0...after reading what felt like thousands of posts, I went with what seemed like the most logical fix with was the crank case position sensor. After installing it did seem to correct the issues I was having, which were at times running rough, and stalling while driving...NOW since check engine light blinks and will come on while driving. I took it to the local parts store where they read the codes and stated it was mis-firing...Sooo we changed plugs..made the mistake got double platinum..still ran fine...but check engine light flashing...again to the shop..mis-firing, read where these plugs aren't good for jeeps..swapped them for some regular old Champions..and what do ya know..ran a whole day without any lights.then on the way to work this morning..blinking engine light again..the question I not using an OEM crank case sensor...did I correct my original issue.. stalling etc.. and create others? blinking engine light, stating mis-fires?

Personally I believe the OEM parts are a better quality. Lucky for me I have access to OEM parts at just a little over dealer costs. I even use OEM oil filters since they costs less that aftermarket.

Depends on who makes the part. For example if its China joe vs. OEM then yes, If Timken vs. OEM.. then not a big deal.
