Is there a simple BL?

All I want is another inch/1.25" for now. How much labor is involved with 1.25" JKS as opposed to just a run of the mill 1" BL. Is the MML a necessary part of the JKS install? Thanks

You don't need to spend extra for a good body lift, I'd stick with the tried and true 1" kit from Performance Accessories. It's as good as any of them but it costs less and they hold up forever. They're very easily installed, you could do it in an hour easily if wrenching isn't new to you. No body lift requires a MML. MMLs are often installed so the engine is raised an inch to match the radiator shroud/radiator that is raised by the body lift. But really, all you have to do is lower the fan shroud an inch by drilling new mounting holes in it and repositioning it an inch lower, no big deal.

i run the Performance accessories BL and like it...many people run it and like it.

it includes everything you need and doesn't make you drill into the fan shroud like the JKS does...and no you don't have to do a MML with either body lift.

edit, jerry beat me to it

Approximately how much were both brands from your research?

I just installed a 1" Performance Accessories BL this past weekend. Took about 4 hours and had everything you'll need. Best price I found was Amazon.com $83.40 and free shipping.

I got my 2" bl from ebay for 90 bucks shipped. They also had 1" bl for a bit cheaper. Install for my 2" bl was 4 hrs or so.. a 1" bl would take me 2-3 hrs. (1st time install)

I just installed 1" Performance Accessories BL last weekend, and 1" MML at same time, it took 3hrs with 2 people...(total....BL and MML)
My friend had done both before....so that helped.

I am happy with the PA BL......BUT......I wish I had sprung for the Daystar which is a replacement Bushing which is 1" taller....instead of a Spacer that 'sits' on top of the bushing. Also....the spacers are just that...spacers...can't believe what I paid for some Pucks and Hardware......

The Bushing has a rounded top.....and fits the contour of the body.....the spacers are FLAT.......i did not like that....... Also the Daystar are not as Obvious...in fact it would be hard for even a Jeeper to tell there was a body lift........the Spacers stick out. 1" is not bad....again I am HAPPY with mine......but any more.....not good. I saw a TJ today that caught my eye cuz it was lifted and big tires....Then I saw the TOWERS under the body

Just installed my 1" BL two weeks ago..took about 3 hours... then and extra $200 for the radiator I punctured and another $3.00 and 1 week to get the spare body puck from 4 wheel parts that I forgot to tighten... Learn from my mistakes please!!!
Double check the bolts within a day or two, then after maybe a couple weeks..
Also take your time with the radiator lowering kit...it's fairly easy but tight..but is very achievable...

Here's a link that someone sent to me once about installing a PA 1" BL. The writeup should be similar to whatever brand of BL you decide to buy. Hope this helps.......
