Good price, just make sure 50' of line is enough. In some wheeling areas like where there are a lot of trees close by, 50' is plenty. In other areas, like in the desert where I wheel, 50' would not be enough for all situations.

Is it possible to use a strap to extend it?

for me i would have to use the strap and when i get to the complete pull of the winch then adjust the strap and keep going until you don't need the strap anymore

So long as it's the non-stretchy type of strap. Snatch straps are stretchy and should not be used.

Based on several years and lots of pulls... get one with the longer line to start with.
