Is this worth the price

I was browsing the Internet and ran across this '06 and thought it was a little high. Tell me what you all think ?

http://mobile.landerschrysler.com/de...-10676482.html

From what I can tell it is a sport with some stickers added and a rear Dana 44.

I didn't see any photos, text, or video that indicated it really has a 44. Dana 35 was standard rear axle. 35,000 miles is low, but this is overpriced. It doesn't look that clean in the pictures, but they might not tell the true story. I am not a fan of the chrome tube bumpers, but they come off just as easily as they went on.

Bottom line, if you like it and the deal's good, low mileage TJs are getting harder to find. Given the mudders and bumpers, plus all the apparent dirt in the engine bay, I would have it looked at very carefully by a mechanic you trust. I like your silver Jeep in the picture better.

That seems a little high to me as well but the low miles is really what they are basing that off it has a few mods and the hardtop to bump up the prive but not nearly that much... Go in with some facts and comparisons if you are truley interested! Sometimes dealers dont really know what the vehicle is actually worth... When i bought my jeep it was advertised as a 4 cylinder 2.5L so it was really low priced when i got there i looked under the hood and it was an I6 4.0... I got it for $5000 and it was a pretty good deal so maybe you could talk these people into a lower price if you have facts and proof that tjs dont go for that much

If that is a real golden eagle then I am pretty sure the d44 was standard. That also may be adding to the value if it is a golden eagle, if that is the package somebody is really looking for. But seems high to me.

In 2009 someone had an 06 model with 103k miles? Wow! That thing was driven long and hard to build miles that fast.

It seems high to me also. Just looked on NADA and it books for $19,500. I was like WOW. I'm gonna go by Sunday and take a look at it while they are closed if it looks good I will snap some pics and post.

all golden eagle TJ's were made w/ the D44 rear axle. based on the pix and the VIN, this is a real golden eagle TJ.

I don't know about this deal, it looks beat up in the pictures despite the mileage. I see plenty of questionable modifications too. Low mileage is nice, but not if it was abused as much as this one appears to be in the pictures.

I think it might be over-priced.

Low miles, the newest TJ you will ever find. If you want one of the last low milesage TJs out there that haven't sat forever you better move in the next few years. That said it obviously looks driven/used. I would say 15 is a better price.

Not a dead give away of how it was taken care of, but fender flares are now gray but at one time they were black. My 06 looks new compared to this version. Should be several clues about the condition (ie major scratches on skid plates, control arms, & axles. Condition under the hood). BTW, price seems high to me.

It's weird that the engine compartment is that dirty sitting on a dealer lot. Most every dealer I've ever been to details the engine compartment before selling ANY vehicle. Standard practice around here. Makes me wonder how reliable of a dealer they are.
I know that's a minor thing but some dealers give away their shadiness through stuff like that.

Looked on eBay and there is a 06 golden eagle in Colorado with 30k for 21,900. That is crazy.

As noted priced high... also as noted very dirty.... if I was going to pay 18k it better be a rubicon version..low miles is nice but at the end of the day its just a run of the mill tj for a lot of coin.

Just for comparison, purchased my GE in May for 19500 with 26000 miles. But it was in showroom condition with new tires and no modifications. Also came with the original brand new soft top. Not a single scratch underneath and not a speck of dirt in the engine compartment or in the interior.
I bought it due to its condition, lack of mileage and the dana 44.
Just my .02 ask for a better price and get them to clean it up then you would be able to see any potential problems.

I'm going to look at it tomorrow . That dealer usually cleans them up better than that prob pics taken right after they got it . I would rather wait on a rubi
For that price. I just ran across it while Internet shopping ( dreaming). And the price didn't make sense for a sport

If Golden Eagles are running for $19,000, you would be far better off with Rubi or LJ Rubi for the same price.

Jeeps retain their value. When I was shopping for mine, I used the NADA and KBB to estimate their value and then took it from there.

The front axle on the Rubicon is a D-44 - D-30 hybrid, it's the tubes, inner & outer Cs and knuckles/unit bearing of a D-30 with a differential housing and gears of a D-44.

I think he was asking if the golden eagle shares both axles with the rubicon. Aka does it have a d44 front.

When I found it, it still had the tow hookups on the bumper and you could see where they had cut the wires for the light hookup. The dealer I bought it from couldn't prove that it was towed behind an RV, as he got it cheap at auction in San Fran, that is why I got it soooo cheap with sooo many miles. My buddies and I checked it over really good and it was really clean. There was no evidence that it had been driven long and hard. Plus it had about 8k in mods.

If it was towed behind and done the right way the odometer should not be on. My 2000 sport was a tow behind, still has the light bar and tow hookups, up until a few years ago. We got it with 49k miles. Those are actual driving miles.

I just recently bought my 06 X a few weeks ago locally one owned an older couple(90K miles never towed). No mods except for the MT aluminum wheels, Offroad lights and a bitchn Pioneer stereo/cd player. Dealer was asking 14,500 which was best price and Jeep of many others the wife and I looked at. I walked out with her for 13,900. I think I made a good deal on my little retirement vehickle.

Low Mileage

I've got around 4000 miles on my 1999 TJ Sport 4.11 and Dana 44. Anybody have LOWER mileage?
