Engine (4.0) was slowly drinking my antifreeze so I tried the simplest thing I could, which was pulling the head (hoping it was just this) and having it remaned at a good machine shop. I replaced all the gaskets, cleaned everything top to bottom, torqued it all back to speck and no luck. After about 3 minutes it was knocking like crazy and shut down. Never overheated. Just sounded like someone was hammering on the sheet metal. I cranked it back up and it was slow to turn and sounded like metal on metal, and I limped it back into the garage.
So, I need to get it going. Its not my DD so I have time to work with it.
I found this and am wondering if this is a REAL upgrade to a stock remanufactured, since I don't have $2900-$3900 to drop a Stroker in it.
