Jeeeeeps

I love jeeps. My car, the one i currently own, was a 96 cherokee sport. It currently has 214k+. I have always wanted a wrangler, but they were out of my price range. Either within the next few years or next sixth months I'm going to buy a wrangler TJ. Im going to mod it to no end. Ive become a part of this forum to learn, learn, learn. Ill have more questions than answers, but one day ill return the favor. Jeeps for life!

Just be sure to not call your future Wrangler a "car". You will hurt its feelings!

Best to buy one sooner than later. Let the fun start the sooner the better!

or when a weekend mod doesn't go as planned and extends into Monday, then Tuesday...

This really is a pretty good idea if you can swing it. A 96 XJ with 214K isn't worth all that much. If you can swing buying the TJ without the cash from selling the XJ, you'llbe glad you did. By keeping the XJ you can take your time and not rush mod jobs because you need to drive the TJ on Monday...

I know there are many times that I look back on letting my wife's 97 ZJ go in a trade... for the amount I got, I should have just kept it...

Good Luck!

Keep the XJ!! I have a 2001 XJ - I use this when I need to haul stuff or people around or its raining when I wake up and haven't put the top back on the TJ.
I also have my 2004 TJ - I use this for all around fun.
Then I have my 1997 F250 beater. - I use this to haul big things (TJ if it is really broken). Now no matter how bad that weekend project goes I still have a way to get where I need to go or get my TJ to someone who can fix what I broke.
