Jeep 4.0 engine vapor locking

A while back someone wrote in about the heat No. 3 (I think) injector can get and after shut down the heat will vaporize the fuel in it causing a miss type reaction when re-started until fuel clears the injector.

There was also reported to be a Service Bulletin No. and a repair kit No. to fix the problem with a shield around the infected injector.

I thought I made note of it but can't find my note nor able to "Search" and find the particular Post. Would anyone by any chance remember How or Where I could find it. My Wrangler is doing the missing thing real bad after driving for a while with the AC on then shutting off the engine.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. Now for a trip to my local Jeep dealer to see if by any very remote chance they might just have this part in stock. Knowing them though, it's very unlikely and will probably have to order it if I can even convince the parts guy what it is I need.

Appreciate the quick response. Guess I wasn't using the right Search Word.

Let us know if it works for you. I have a buddy who is a Mopar tech, he said it makes it somewhat better, but does not get rid of it completely.

I think I may just wrap #3 with some fiberglass and aluminum tape..

Does not happen all the time for me, buy quite annoying when it does happen!
