jeep eyelids (different method)

For those of you who want eyelids for your jeep, My friend has come up with a way to do it without paints, tape, or sloppy tint paint. This method is clean and easy to take off if you don't want them anymore.

My friend decided to use a rubber material, almost something a plunger is made out of. He then cut it at work to fit his lights with ease.

I then unscrewed the 3 screws that hold the chrome housing for the headlight with a t15 bit.

I then took the rubber piece and gently fit it around the lip of the housing until it was snug.

put chrome housing back on and tighten with 3 screws and you're all set.

GREAT ingenuity, but not feeling it at all.

I loved that look on my Chysler 300C. Just not feeling it on the jeep. Do love the thought process and the testicular fortitude to say "screw it" and do what you like. Im all for that.

I'm not really sure, he got it at work. I'll ask em today when I talk to him. I love all the looks I get, idk if it's bad or good.

It looks cool as hell with the lights on. But I'm not sure if I would run them. Thumbs up for awesome creativity though!

A for effort...but it seems like you're also reducing your light output by about 25-30%...

Probably not so much as that. The light is not evenly distributed on normal headlights after all.

It looks like rubber roofing membrane. It's used on flat roofs and is about 1/8" thick.
I use it in my work truck to hold things in their bins. I'm an electrician. It's cheap and withstands a high temp without sticking.

It looks nice on yours.

And people bash Crome and low profile tires on here all day long. Like I always say to each their own, your jeep, your money. If it makes you happy then go for it. Me personally would rather put mine in the crusher...
