jeep hammocks

just found a mini hammock at a military surplus store today and it is small and compact to store in my jeep so i thought it would be cool to keep on hand in case i go camping and don't want the tent. anyone have pictures of their own jeep hammock setups?

Subbed. I've thought about a hammock set up so one side is tied to a tree or a tall structure and the other on the sport bar or something along those lines. Jammocks are also cool and can be used as a bikini top at the same time. Here is a link: Photos - Jammock: it's a hammock for your Jeep.

Thanks for the plug, nelsonan1. I'm James, the inventor and owner of the Jammock. We've had a bunch of conversation on the subject, here are some links that may answer your questions. If you have anything other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

As of right now, it does not come in black, and will not until I sell enough of the tan Jammocks to afford the cost of the next production run.

Do you offer discounts for forum members. I like you product and may be purchasing one soon. I'm not worried about tan as a can of duplicolor vinyl/fabric paint can take care of that.

If you ha e a buddy with a jeep. You can hang the hammoc between them. I've had two hammocks strung up at once. I rock the eno single hammock. And a cheaper one with bug net attached to it. I think my next purchase will be the jammock. It looks awesome

I got a great deal on a hiking hammock on woot.com
After a little research I was floored by how much interest and information there is on hammock camping. I live down the street from JacksRBetter and bought their down covers. If I am not rocking the Bantam camper I made I am looking forward to trying the hammock out.

Look at ENO. The one in the picture is a grand trunk. I like it a lot but ENO has better colors. If I was going to do it again i would get an ENO. Get the double nest so you can fit two people or have a lot of extra room for just your self

Byer hammocks has a setup with a mosquito net attached to the hammock.

I would check. Rei.com I you d mine on sale for $30. Plus they have a great return policy. As far as rigging up. You could use a ratche strap. Or a lil rope with a good caribiner.

I bought one about a month ago. Super easy to install. Acts as a sunshade when the top is off. Extra storage for small items when the top is on. Got some pretty funny compliments when using it. All in all my favorite purchase so far.

Found an older pic of my hammock hooked up between a tree and my Jeep! Had it on the tow hooks at first but the higher up you connect it, the better it works!

This is how I usually set mine up. It's a little low to the ground but it is comfy.

Excellent. I'll put in a preorder as soon as my next paycheck shows up. Black will look much better on my Jeep.
