Jeep Interior Plastic

Anyone know what type of plastic it is? I can't seem to find any information on it.

(Yes I am about to start a interior paint project)

I picked up some paint made for just plastics at the Advanced when I painted my dash and so far it's holding up well.

I know that doesn't answer your question, but just thought I would mention that.

Not really but thanks for the information!

Reason I want to know the type of plastic is so I can read up on it instead of just throwing on some primer and paint and keeping my fingers crossed the paint won't just fall in a day or two.

as long as you sand it good and put a good quality primer you should be all set, make sure you find a paint made for painting plastic.

For the interior plastic I was wondering what grit should be used and how much should be sanded?

start with a coarse grit and then move up to a finer grit, if it is too smooth from sanding the paint might not hold to great.
