jeep jk wheels for tj

I have a 1998 tj with a 2 inch suspension lift and I am looking at getting the jk Sahara 17 inch wheels with stock tires. I know I would have to get the conversion kit to account for the 5x4.5 jeep tj bolt pattern but would the jk wheels fit without rubbing? Need help asap thanks

We just did what you are wanting to do. Have an 06 with NO lift, put some 2" thick adapter spacers on, then mounted JK 17" wheels with P265/70R17 Nitto Grapplers. No rubbing at all. Only issue we had was not taking the little clip things off of the two studs on each front hub before mounting the spacers. TAKE THE CLIPPY THINGS OFF before putting the spacers on. We now have 4" BS, as the JK wheels were 6". With your 2" lift you will not rub.

Hope this helps you!

Could you tell me the exact lift/spacers you bought? Also did you add any shocks or did you leave the stock one? Thanks

We bought these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-WHEEL-ADAP...90e88a&vxp=mtr

because they came with 5 in the set. Looking back, we wanted the 2" ones because the JK wheels were 6" backspacing, and our factory wheels were 4" BS. We have no lift, and they clear with a ton of room to spare, so we probably could have gotten by with the 1.5" or even 1.25" spacers. BUT now that we have the 2 inchers, there should be room someday for 285's or even 305's.....

Edit: I posted the wrong link above, I think I fixed it. Same seller sells 4 in a package, but charges 20 bucks more for the 4. Go figure.

They will rub on the rear spring perch if you go with the spidertrax adapters.

I forget how much spacing they put 1.25? not sure.

Yes, at full lock they will rub in the front too.

All of the JK wheels have poor backspacing.

I have a rugged ridge orv lift and it was a complete lift lower controlarms springs shocks. The spacers are 4.5 to 5 and they are 2.5 in thick
