Jeep momentarily feels like it's in neutral while transmission is in drive

My 2001 TJ recently started feeling like it's in neutral every once in a while when the auto transmission is in drive. It seems to happen more frequently soon after I start it up and it only occurs when going slow. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Thanks in advance.

I assume you are talking about slipping (rpms rise without a rise in speed). Check the fluid level. I suspect you are low.

Mine does this on occasion when it's cold outside. when I start it and let it run/warm up for 10-15 minutes, it cures it for me. (my fluid is good)
