Jeep off-road trailer

Just saw this news article, .....

Jeep has announced an off-road trailer. The pop-up, off-road-ready trailer will feature 12 inches of ground clearance, BF Goodrich tires, wheels from the Wrangler Rubicon, a torsion bar suspension designed for maximum articulation and a queen size bed. An Extreme Trail edition will also be available with 35-inch tires, skid plates and diamond plated fenders.

The off-road trailer will go on sale next month, according to Left Lane News, and will start at $9,995. The Extreme Trail camper will cost $11,995. Jeep has not officially announced the price of the color-matched hard top for the Wrangler, so no pricing is available.

Very cool.

But it looks like they are using a standard trailer hitch.

There is a reason the guys in green use pintle and ring for off-road trailering.

But aside from the techicality....its still pretty cool.

Id rather sleep in a nice tent in a nice sleeping bag on a nice cot and still have $9500 left over to put into my jeep or for other toys.

Neat concept though it obviously doesnt appeal much to me. To each his or her own.

I think you can buy a pretty decent popup camper 4x the size for under $10,000 new...it's neat looking, but I ain't shelling out almost as much as my Jeep for a less functional, but more "pretty" camper. lol

What if you took a standard coleman pop-up....

And slapped a 4" lift on it.

Then gave it some M/T tires.

And some diamond-plate.

Howz 'bout dat?

I hope you have an air mattress cuz that looks like it'd cause some serious back pain while camping

You can't find those for less than a grand around here, even then they are in terrible shape.

A couple of pillows under you sleeping bag...and under that, a couple of cases of brew...just like a craftmatic 2 adjustable bed....adjust the feel by removing the brewski...
