Update from the shop

Update:

Broken Parts

1.Left Fender
2.Bumper
3.Grill
4.Hood
5.Radiator
6.Headlight Bezel
7.Front Tires (from where they flat spotted when I slammed the brakes.....good ol NABS (no ABS)

The shop I took it to is nice enough to post pictures online so you can see whats going on.... While looking thru others, I've determined my jeep is the most disassembled of any they have. I bet those guys took it down in a matter of mins...

I was wondering why the shop also removed the rear fender (not damaged) my best guess is they will need to paint the whole side to match where the JEEP logo is messed up

Still waiting on the final numbers.......I'm sure they will blow me away for such seemingly minimal impact, good news , its all covered by insurance.......bad news, I hate deductibles.

I hit a good sized doe the second day I owned my '02 Sahara, and I'm glad I hit her in the Jeep instead of the '02 Z28 Camaro I had at the time.

Her ass end knocked off the driver side bumper endcap, and her head took out a fog light. Then I rolled right over her. You can't even tell I hit a big deer =P

Glad you're alright!

BUY THAT BABY BACK!!!!! You can fix it with upgrades with the money they give you and make it badass. Get a new grill and assembly with the radiator and all. Some rokmen high line fenders and a aev heat reduction high line hood and some 33's with no suspension lift maybe 1.25 bodylift if needed.. Bam done badass rig

man, that sucks. now I feel bad for making fun of your tires. the shop probably overinflated the estimate so your insurance co would let them buy it @ rock bottom for salvage.

Usually when a jeep wrangler is involved in the smallest accident the insurance companies will total it because of the price most shops charge to wanna fix them! I saw a tj that had the right rear corner where the soft top clips underneath was crushed in just a little bit and thats all that was wrong with it and the insurance company totaled it out!! I'd buy it back cheap and add all the mods and it will be awesome rig!!

If you don't buy it let me know and I will. It might cover some you lose in deduc. But, if you can make the time you really should buy it.

"my dad is a TV repairman... he has this ultimate set of tools...
I could fix it..."

That sucks. I totally understand the whole "bottom line" concept, but sometimes it just doesn't seem right.

I think that is the route I'm going.

Not having a car payment + fixing some body work > 1000 deductible and continuing to pay the bank every month

where could I find a grill assembly / radiator (all-in-one)??

New Project

Well, I didn't think I would ever have a "project" jeep.....but looks like I've got one now.

Most of the crap in the picture was taken off cuz the shop was under the impression they were going to paint it, but since it got totaled out halfway thru......I've got some putting back together to do.

Look at it this way they took care of half the work for you. Glad to see you kept the jeep. It could be a fun project.
