Red face Jeep Wrangler Lift Kit...? *gulp*

Alright, I am looking for some help. I have quite a few questions. First off, my Jeep has a two inch body lift and a 2 inch budget boost with 35s (I know, I know, I didn't put them on there) I was thinking about putting a 4" Skyjacker lift on it and I was wondering what all I would need. here is the link to what I was looking at getting.

97-06 TJ 4" Skyjacker Lift Kit w/ shocks Special Deal - eBay (item 270683983625 end time Dec-31-10 10:18:43 PST)

I was wondering if those shocks would work if I left the budget boost on my Jeep (he lists the shock style in the description). or if I would have to get a bigger shock, or if I should just take the budget boost off if I get the lift. I just want as much room as possible.

I need to replace the upper and lower control arms on my Jeep and I was just wondering if this kit would replace them for me. I have contacted the seller and I figured I would just ask for help here. You guys have always been helpful before. If anybody can help, please let me know and if you guys have any other ideas for helping me out. Thanks in advance!

That would give you 6" of suspension lift (plus 2" of body). Do not leave the spacers on. That will bring on a lot of issues and additional parts needed. 6" on short arms will be a poor ride.

The 4in lift and 2in body should be more than enough for 35s. The spacers aren't needed. To keep the spacers you would need:
- long arm conversion
- correct length shocks
- SYE
- CV drive shafts
- high steer or cross over conversion
I would also look at a custom front axle housing. In order to get the pinion angle right, you will end up with poor caster. Every degree you rotate the pinion up, you loose a degree of caster. Rotate the diff more than 6 degrees and you are looking at handling issues for street driven TJ.

x2 on ditching the 2" spacer.

Though I would also recommend an adjustable front track bar as 4" of lift will be messing up your front axle lateral alignment.

Will give you two good examples.

Rough Country I like the drop track bar bracket

Iron Man This one doesn't require you to drill your frame to make it a drop bracket. Also Iron man makes solid products. Also made in USA!
