Jeeps and TORNADOS

Well I just thought I would let you guys know I was born and raised in Joplin MO and if you all haven't heard we got hit BAD with a bad tornado yesterday.
So I loaded up the rubi and headed out to help. I have never had to "wheel" in the middle of town before. I was with local county sheriffs last night out searching for people. Thank goodness I had all the lights on the jeep. I was going places that we wouldn't have been able to get to without the jeep.

Please pray for this town and it's volunteers! Pics are nothing. And I will say the news reporting the body count is way off. We pulled almost that many just last night alone. Every couple of mins. We would find another.

not good... it looks horrible on the news.

great job helping, its never good to see the wrath up close but those with the tools must help.

I helped a couple this this morning who hit a turkey and busted in their windshield. Thats nothing compared to what you are facing down there. Glad your ok.

Tornadoes suck, it's good to have a vehicle that can get around in such situations and it's great that you can be a blessing to those in need. Thank you for helping, and good to know you are safe.

I know exactly what you are going through. I live in Cullman, Alabama and work in Hanceville, Alabama. Both got hit on April 27, F4, F2. Not anywhere near that body count here in Cullman and Hanceville, but Tuscaloosa had alot. You're right pics do no justice to tornado damage. Good luck in your efforts.

I know what you mean when you say trying to figure out what to do. It can be overwhelming. My attitude was to do something, anything, and then something else, and then something else. Next thing you know you've made some headway.

And we have more storms coming. It hasn't let up all day today. I feel so bad for the people searching.

And I can't believe all the looting. People are just desperate I guess. But no excuses.
The other problem is that when u get into to Joplin you have no cell service and there is no land lines either. So if you find someone that needs help you have no way of calling anyone .

Thank you all for your prayers I'm getting ready to eat dinner with my family then I'm heading back out with some local army recruiters and the Joplin fire department to help clear some more areas.

Being out in total darkness is kinda scary. But I have my CCW permit and I hope I don't catch any looters.

A glock 2 extra magazines and a bunch of armed county sheriffs make you feel a little safer !

I have this weekend open... If I were to come down can I just join up with the red cross? Or the sheriffs like you have?
