Jeep's got a new home!!!

...well... SO DOES MY FAMILY!!! Just in time for X-Mas!

We closed today on our new ( to us ) home! 4 bed, 2 bath 1800sqft and..

3 CAR GARAGE!!!!! WOOHOOO!!!!

It was a short sale and took every bit of 4 months and a few days to make it happen.

Just had to share with my 'online family'. I hope everyone has a GREAT Christmas!

1800sqft and 4 bedroom dont sound like they would go well together lol.

Congrats tho, a 3 car garage is a must on the new home that I'm looking for.

Thanks all!

Actually... I went shopping on Black Friday and got stainless steel goodies!!! Fridge, range, dishwasher, microwave and washer dryer! Spent $6000 but saved over $4800!!! Now THAT was planned out.

Jeep parts are coming .... Rest assured! Lol!!!

Congrats!! I am very jealous of your large garage. I'd be happy with a single car garage! Or even a spare bedroom to store parts in (and the hardtop)... :rolls:

You spoke to me about buying a home earlier,,, congratulations on your new home.. If my jeep gets any higher my next mod will be a major renovation on our barn/carriage house/garage door..... ...I hope your doors are high enough to get your jeep in good luck and once again, congratulations !!

yep.. I remember speaking with you.. I have 1/4" of clearance between the garage and my Wilderness Rack right now... I know... it's close. If I go below 1/4 tank, I can rub a little...lol!!!

I am looking into raising the door by another panel... hardest part is supporting the structure while raising the 12" header and replacing the king studs. The job itself is not too bad.. it's being safe about it that is the hard part.

Just got done installing all new Stainless Steel appliances... IM TIRED!!!

Congrats on the house! I don't know where 4 bedrooms and 1800 sq ft isn't a "good" thing, but I started with 1100 sq ft and 3 bedrooms and was happy to get into that.

If you want input regarding supporting your garage while you enlarge the opening: Take a 4x6 at least the length of the opening you're changing, place it at the ceiling and align it parallel to the opening within a few feet so you can work around the posts but not too far inside, put a 4x4 post every 4ft to support it. Make the posts 1/8"-1/4" longer than the actual measurement where you are placing it, insert them at a slight angle and knock them into place with a hammer, making sure they are plumb in both directions. If the garage is "finished" tack a piece of sheetrock on the top of the 4x6 temp. beam so you don't trash your ceiling and watch your height adjustment on the posts so you don't crack any sheetrock joints or pop screw heads. If you pop screws or joints you will simply have to spackle and paint. You won't have to change the "kingstuds" but you will need to cut new trimmers to support your new header height.

Nice range by the way!

Thanks for the insight.... I appreciate it!

BTW.. I think there was a lil sarcasim in the '4 bd 1800sqft is small statement'... its not small by any means.

Yea... thanks... loving the range!
