Is that the reason for the paint job?

You will really like the gears and locker. I did the same but with a Detroit locker.

Cool

I'll have the 4" Sus lift + 1.25BL hopefully I won't Rub too bad if at all, if i do i can grab some .75 coil spacers for some height

As for the new gears and 35's, is a programmer or the speedo gear a better route to go?

Anyone with pictures of a jeep on 35's with 5.25ISH inches of lift?

I've got a 4" Teraflex lift and a 1.25" JKS body lift on 35's - though the suspension lift is sagging a bit (it's old). I plan on throwing in some coil spacers cause I'm too cheap to buy new coils.

No rubbing at all in the front, had some rubbing on the inner fender in the back, but it just needs some bump stop adjustment. Of course, I think it has a lot to do with the 7" Warn flares - otherwise I might rub in other places.

As far as the programmer/speedo gear thing goes I don't think you have a choice. Earlier jeeps need the gear change, later jeeps need to have some programming changed. Don't remember the years, but I imagine someone will chime in.

Sorry this is kinda off topic but am I hearing that you are putting 35s on a Dana 35 and 30? Or is that super 35 kit a new rear axel?
And the d30 can handle the 35s?

I so wish I could have 35s

I have 4.5 inches of lift, 4:56 gears on my 99 and just changed the speedometer gear. Lots cheaper than reprogramming. I run 33's cause I like them better. I looked online and speedo gears are listed for all TJ models.

I also have an Ox locker with a Super 35 with no problems in five years. On board air using Viar and 3 gallon tank.

Sounds like a pretty sweet set-up.

You'll need the new speedo gear. The speedometer is gear driven on your jeep.

When do you get your TJ back? I had something similar happen on one of my motorcycles. Insurance just handed me a check and between eBay and buddies discounts I got her fixed with extra goodies! Look forward to pics!

Localfiend,

Rubicons do not have a speedo gear so you either need to buy a module or get your ECU worked on at the dealership. All other TJ's can use a speedo gear if you find the right one.
